This image shows a float heading down the Promenade in the Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) Homecoming Parade in October 1964. Onlookers can be seen standing on the right and the second Administration Building, built 1924, is visible in the background. Homecoming was an annual event that included dramatic performances, a parade, a dance, a football game, reunion activities, and the crowning of the Homecoming queen.
