Homecoming Floats, 1964, photo 8

This image shows three students decorating a float for the Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) Homecoming Parade in October 1964. One student can be seen fixing the stripes on a goal post, another working on the background, and a third checking the tissue paper on the side. Homecoming was an annual event that included dramatic performances, a parade, a dance, a football game, reunion activities, and the crowning of the Homecoming queen.
