Band Performance, circa 1970, photo 1

This image shows the band at Appalachian State University (1967-current) performing outside I. G. Greer Hall, built 1950, in the early 1970s. The Band was one of four musical organizations at Appalachian State, including the Appalachian Double Octet, College Choir, and College Orchestra. All performed recitals throughout the year, and music majors were required to participate in at least one for twelve quarters to obtain a degree in music education.
