Marching Band Performance, 1967

This image shows the Marching Band at Appalachian State University (1967-current) performing with the Majorettes at Conrad Stadium, built 1962, in August 1967. Cheerleaders and other audience members can be seen in the foreground. Some audience members can be seen on bleachers in the background. The Marching Band was originally started by Professor Gordon Nash in 1939 and was managed by the Department of Music. They performed routinely at parades and athletic events during the academic year.
