This image shows two students standing against the rails of a wooden bridge crossing Kraut Creek after a snowstorm at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in 1957. The student on the left is Jean Rankin, homecoming queen for 1958. Broome-Kirk Gymnasium, built 1955, can be seen in the background. This image appears in the 1958 Rhododendron (p. 2).
