This image shows the dedication ceremony for the Broyhill Inn and Conference Center, built 1972, at Appalachian State University (1967-current). President Emeritus William Howard Plemmons (1955-1969) can be seen speaking behind a podium. Chancellor Herbert Walter Wey (1969-1979) can be seen sitting on the right. The Broyhill Inn was originally known as the Broyhill Building for the Center for Continuing Education. It was located at the southern end of Appalachian State University off Bodenheimer Drive. From left to right are Mr. Barry Rogers (Director of the Broyhill Center for Continuing Education) President Emeritus William H. Plemmons, Chancellor Herbert W.
