Description
This image shows a performance at the Mountaineer Talent Search at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in 1986-87. Appalachian State senior Anne Black can be seen singing through a microphone, with two backup singers and a guitarist accompanying her. The talent search was sponsored by the Appalachian Popular Programming Society (APPS) and was open to all Appalachian State students. Performances included bands, comedy sketches, and musical recitals. This image appears in the 1987 Rhododendron (p. 101).
