This image shows a performance at the Mountaineer Talent Search at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in 1986-87. Appalachian State students Neil Barnwell and Chris Conner are seen sitting in chairs while playing guitars and singing country music. The talent search was sponsored by the Appalachian Popular Programming Society (APPS) and was open to all Appalachian State students. Performances included bands, comedy sketches, and musical recitals. This image appears in the 1987 Rhododendron (p. 101).
