This image shows a performance at the Mountaineer Talent Search at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in 1986-87. A group of Appalachian State students can be seen standing by a microphone, singing the Billy Joel song, "For the Longest Time." The talent search was sponsored by the Appalachian Popular Programming Society (APPS) and was open to all Appalachian State students. Performances included bands, comedy sketches, and musical recitals. This image appears in the 1987 Rhododendron (p. 101).
