Description

This image shows a performance at the Mountaineer Talent Search at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in 1986-87. The Francis brothers, two Appalachian State students, can be seen sitting on chairs while performing a comedy routine. They were awarded third place with a $50 cash prize. The talent search was sponsored by the Appalachian Popular Programming Society (APPS) and was open to all Appalachian State students. Performances included bands, comedy sketches, and musical recitals. This image appears in the 1987 Rhododendron (p. 101).
