This image shows Professor J. R. Prince speaking with two women at a table during an event held by the Department of Foreign Languages in the College of Arts and Sciences at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in 1979. Programs in the Department of Foreign Languages focus on teaching students both the language and culture of a region, and includes courses in French, Spanish, Chinese, German, Arabic, Japanese, Latin, and Russian, as well as offering classes for international business and economics majors in the College of Business. The woman on the right is Dr. Peggy Hartley, Professor of Foreign Languages.
