The letter included is from a diary reader who enjoyed reading Greene’s diaries. He believed that Greene had a great knack for analyzing major characteristics of people. This diary was recorded in 1934 by Andrew Jackson Greene from July 30th through October 8th. He included the usual current events and reflections. His common subjects were Sunday school, Appalachian State Teachers College, his neighbors, and the weather.
