This image shows a man giving a lecture to chemistry students and faculty in a classroom in the Department of Chemistry at Appalachian State University (1967-current) during the 1970s. The Department of Chemistry exists within the College of Arts and Sciences, and aims to provide training for future chemists, basic understanding of the principles of chemistry, and chemistry teachers. The Department has been accredited by the American Chemical Society.
