This image shows a lecturer speaking to a class of students in the Department of Chemistry at Appalachian State University (1967-current) during the late 1960s or early 1970s. The Department of Chemistry exists within the College of Arts and Sciences, and aims to provide training for future chemists, basic understanding of the principles of chemistry, and chemistry teachers. The Department has been accredited by the American Chemical Society.
