This image a student painting a picture in an arts workshop held at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in July 1974. A student can be seen standing by a painting on an easel, with the professor on the right. Other students work in the background. The Art Department is located in the College of Fine and Applied Arts. It includes concentrations in clay, drawing, fibers, metals/jewelry, painting, photography, printmaking and sculpture.
