Description

This image shows four members of the Art Department at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in January 1972, standing with works of art to be displayed during a faculty art exhibit. The image includes Bill Dunlap, Warren Dennis, Lawrence Edwards, and Noyes Long. The Art Department is located in the College of Fine and Applied Arts. It includes concentrations in clay, drawing, fibers, metals/jewelry, painting, photography, printmaking and sculpture, and often displays student and faculty art in the Catherine Smith Gallery and the Turchin Center for Visual Arts.
