This image shows a faculty banquet in 1975 held in Welborn Cafeteria, built 1925, at Appalachian State University (1967-current). Chancellor Herbert Walter Wey (1969-1979) can be seen shaking hands with a faculty member and handing her a sealed packet containing an Outstanding Teacher Award. The event was part of the 75th anniversary festivities. Receiving the award is Dr. Julian Yoder, Professor of Geography.
