Board of Governors, trusteeship conference, Paul Fulton

This image shows Paul Fulton, president of the Sara Lee Corporation and trustee at Winston-Salem State, at the 1989 Conference on Trusteeship held at Appalachian State University (1967-current). Attendees included the Board of Governors, trustees and chancellors from the 16 universities within the University of North Carolina System. Guest speakers included Paul Fulton and University of California President Emeritus Clark Kerr. It was held in the Broyhill Inn and Conference Center, built 1972. This image appears in the Fall 1989 edition of the "Board of Governors Quarterly" (p. 7).
