This image shows the luncheon held after the dedication ceremony for the Broyhill Inn and Conference Center, built 1972, at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in 1973. A group of people can be seen sitting at tables in the restaurant. President Emeritus William Howard Plemmons (1955-1969) can be seen in the foreground. The Broyhill Inn and Conference Center served as an inn and the home of the Center for Continuing Education. In the foreground and seated next to President Plemmons is Ms. Patricia Holshouser, wife of Gov. James Holshouser. On the far right of the table behind President Plemmons is Mr. Hugh Daniel, member of Appalachian Board of Trustees.
