This image shows two members of the Boone Rotary Club conference standing beside a prize to be awarded during the Governor's Banquet at Appalachian State University (1967-current). The television set has a handwritten sign taped to the front, reading, "Rotary Grand Prize to be given away at Governor's Banquet, must attend to win! win! win!" The event was sponsored by the Center for Continuing Education, and took place in the Broyhill Inn and Conference Center, built 1972.
