This image shows two members of the Mountaineer football team of 1954-55, on College Field at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967). College Field was located south of the Administration Building, built 1924, approximately where Rankin Science Hall was later built in 1963. Chapell Wilson Hall, built 1938, is visible in the background.
