This image shows what is possibly the Boone Quarry in Boone, NC. A man is seen drilling into a large slab of limestone rock. Other slabs of cut rock are piled on the left. This photograph was taken by John A. Pritchett, director of the Audio-Visual Center and university photographer for Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) in the 1950s.
