This image shows group of attendees at the May 1976 commencement ceremony at Appalachian State University (1967-current). Seven men and women are lined in front of a brick wall inside one of the campus buildings. The man in the center is one of the commencement speakers. This is a prominent Boone family - the Adams. Mr Alfred Adams, a Boone banker, is seen in the center holding papers. His wife, Daisy, is to his immediate right. His sons, Tom (golf professional and on the far left) and Austin (banker and on Mr. Adams immediate left). Standing Beside Tom is his wife, Darlene. Standing beside Austin is his wife. Standing on the far left is Ms. Jackie Adams, wife of another son, Same, who is not pictured.
