This image shows the commencement ceremony in Broome-Kirk Gymnasium, built 1955, at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967), circa 1965. The audience can be seen on both the left and right of the image, sitting on bleachers, with gradutes and attendees sitting in the center. In the background, a speaker can be seen standing behind a podium on stage, giving a commencement address. Commencement was held in the Broome-Kirk Gymnasium until 1968.
