Homecoming Parade, 1952, Justice Hall

Description

This image shows the 1952 Homecoming float for Justice Hall during the Homecoming Parade at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967). The float consisted of a football field on the back of a truck, with several students dressed in purple and white as the East Carolina University Pirates. The opposite side of the float held students dressed as Boone mountainmen with rifles. This float won second place in the float competition.
