Alumni Association, 1954-55, officers

This image shows the officers of the Alumni Association for 1954-55 at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967). The photograph shows, from left to right, Daisy Eggers, secretary-treasurer, Ben Horton, president and director of student teachers at Appalachian State, Mr. Walter Joyce, departing president, and Rebekah Rivers, departing secretary-treasurer. The Alumni Association met at least once a year during Homecoming for reunions, association business, and officer elections. This image appears in the October 5, 1954, edition of the "Winston-Salem Journal" (p. 7), the October 8, 1954, edition of "The Appalachian" (p. 1), and the 1955 Rhododendron (p. 14).
