Description

This image shows the basketball team standing in the gymnasium in Chapell Wilson Hall, built 1938, at Appalachian High School (1938-1965). The basketball coach kneels in the middle behind a trophy. Appalachian High, also known as the Demonstration High School, was a joint effort between Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) and Watauga County Schools, wherein Watauga County high school students would be taught by Appalachian State faculty and students.
