Description

This image shows two people standing in front of a display in the library at Appalachian High School (1938-1965) in Chapell Wilson Hall, built 1938, at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967). The display reads, "Stop! You too should be color blind," and includes several books about slavery and African-American history. Appalachian High School was a joint venture between Appalachian State Teachers College and Watauga County Schools, wherein Watauga students would be taught by Appalachian State faculty and students. It was housed in Chapell Wilson Hall.
