Description

This image shows three students in a corner of the library holding stacks of periodicals at Appalachian High School (1938-1965) in Chapell Wilson Hall, built 1938, at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967). Two women are seen sitting at a table, one reading a magazine and the other taking notes out of a book, while a boy removes a magazine from the shelf in the background. Appalachian High School was a joint venture between Appalachian State Teachers College and Watauga County Schools, wherein Watauga students would be taught by Appalachian State faculty and students. It was housed in Chapell Wilson Hall.
