This image shows student Jean Rankin and another student sitting at a table at Welborn Cafeteria, built 1925, at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) on February 3, 1959. Both women have plates of food in front of them, and Rankin holds a glass of milk with a straw. Jean Rankin was a sophomore in 1958-59, and was elected the Homecoming queen for 1958. Rankin was a business education major and program chairman of the Appalachian State chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America, formerly known as the Business Club.
