Football Coaches, circa 1953

This image shows the coaches for the Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) Mountaineer football team, standing on College Field. Shown in the back row are coaches John Kirk, Bob Broome, and E. C. Duggins. College Field was located south of the Administration Building, built 1924, approximately where Rankin Science Hall was later built in 1963. The image was taken in the early 1950s.
