This image shows the four out of five football managers for the Appalachian State Mountaineers football team for 1953-54 on College Field at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967). Shown are senior manager Jack Parks, equipment manager Jake Hord, freshman manager Wilmer Dove, and trainer Bunk Carpenter. Not shown is freshman manager Carl Draughton. College Field was located south of the Administration Building, built 1924, approximately where Rankin Science Hall was later built in 1963.
