Description

This image shows a photographic reproduction of a sign for the Green Valley School Parent Teacher Association meeting, on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Green Valley School was a consolidation of several small regional elementary schools in the northeastern section of Watauga County, five miles north of Boone, NC. They consolidated in 1951. Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967), located in Boone, provided student teachers for various local primary and secondary schools in Watauga and surrounding counties, including Green Valley School.
