This image shows the President's Luncheon, held before spring commencement at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) on May 25, 1958 in Welborn Cafeteria, built 1925. A man stands holding a tray with food and glasses, looking at a woman exiting the dining room. A crowd can be seen in the background. The luncheon was held before spring commencement, and included commencement guests, Appalachian State faculty and administration. Seen on the far left is Dr. Max Dixon, Professor of History.
