This image shows the Homecoming Queen Jean Rankin waving in the back of a convertible after being crowned during half-time on Homecoming at College Field on October 18, 1958 at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967). The band can be seen standing in formation in the background, and Chapell Wilson Hall, built 1938, is visible just beyond the field.
