Title

Religious Emphasis Week, 1957, Reverends Hutchinson and McMurray

Description

This image shows Reverend Hutchinson and Reverent McMurray, two of the speakers during Religious Emphasis Week, sitting with two students at a table at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) during September 29-October 3, 1957. All four people are seen with trays of food in front of them, and Hutchinson (left) pours milk into a glass. During Religious Emphasis Week, speaker Bishop George Henry spoke with each individual class of students during afternoon meetings, followed by socials, band recitals, and discussions led by Henry, Reverend McMurray, and Reverend Hutchinson. The topic for discussion was "Are You A Hitch Hiker?" This image appears in the 1958 Rhododendron (p. 112).
