Religious Emphasis Week, 1957, Reverend McMurray

This image shows Reverend McMurray, one of the speakers during Religious Emphasis Week, holding a discussion with a group of women from in Dauph-Blan Hall, built 1929, at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) during September 29-October 3, 1957. During Religious Emphasis Week, speaker Bishop George Henry spoke with each individual class of students during afternoon meetings, followed by socials, band recitals, and discussions led by Henry, Reverend McMurray, and Reverend Hutchinson. The topic for discussion was "Are You A Hitch Hiker?" This image appears in the 1958 Rhododendron (p. 112).
