This image shows one of the football practice sessions of the 1957-58 Mountaineer team during the fall season of 1957 at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967). Two rows of players tackle while being watched by a coach on the right. They are practicing on the western end of Red Lackey Field, with the tennis courts in the background.
