Alumni Reunion, 1957, luncheon, photo 1

This image shows the alumni luncheon held during the Old Timers Reunion in the Appalachian Elementary School cafeteria in Whitener Hall, built 1954, at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967), on October 26, 1957. The reunion was held each year during Homecoming. Attendees are seen seated at a long table with plates, paper cups, and a centerpiece of a flower-covered "A." Seated to the right of the "A" is President William Howard Plemmons (1955-1969) and Mrs. Plemmons. Reunions were held by the Alumni Association.
