This image shows a professor holding a banner including the Appalachian State seal, reading "College of Fine & Applied Arts," and giving the thumbs-up to the camera, before commencement at Appalachian State University (1967-current). Other students can be seen gathering around him. Students gathered into groups by college outside the Varsity Gymnasium, built 1968, before forming into the processional.
