This image shows a group of attendees of the May 1977 commencement in the Varsity Gymnasium, built 1968, at Appalachian State University (1967-current). Ten people in suits and dresses pose in front of the entrance to a building. The man standing in the center of the image is Mr. Johnny Walker, founder of Lowe and the person for whom Walker Hall is named.
