This image shows students holding commencement programs lined up to enter the Broome-Kirk Gymnasium, built 1955, for the commencement ceremony at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967). In the background, Rankin Science Hall, built 1963, can be seen. The windows of the second Administration Building, built 1924 and destroyed in 1966, are visible through the trees on the right.
