Description

This image shows two attendees at one of the seventy-fifth anniversary celebratory events at Appalachian State University (1967-current). The seventy-fifth anniversary of Appalachian State University was celebrated in 1978, commemorating the anniversary of the University becoming a state-sponsored institution with a focus in teacher training in 1903, when Watauga Academy (1899-1903) became Appalachian Training School (1903-1925). On the left is Mr. Tom Corbett, Appalachian News Bureau.
