Description
This image shows the laying of underground electrical wiring during the construction of the University Bookstore, built 1969, at Appalachian State University (1967-current). Dislodged portions of asphalt lay on College Street as a bulldozer shovels dirt out of the street to lay the wiring. Dauph-Blan/Watauga Hall, built 1929, and D. D. Dougherty Library, built 1935, can be seen in the background, and the metal frame of the bookstore can be seen in the foreground to the left.
