This image shows the staff of the Placement Office at Appalachian State University (1967-current), standing in front of the Administration Building Annex, built 1932, now Founder's Hall. On the right is Dr. Robert Randall, Director of the Placement Office. The Office of Placement and Career Development primarily existed to help alumni and graduating students to locate jobs. It used connections with other universities, state and local governments, and industries to provide students with updates on job vacancies, certification and license requirements, and examinations. It also offered computer placement services and arranged interviews.
