Description

This image shows a woman at the facilities support branch of Student Housing looking through cards in a file in May 1978 at Appalachian State University (1967-current). By 1976, on-campus housing included 16 dormitories. Freshmen students were required to live on campus or with parents, and with other students there was an average wait list of over a hundred students for dorm assignments each year.
