Description

This image shows the sign marking the main entrance to Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967). The sign consists of a painted wooden plaque hanging from two wooden posts, and reads, "Appalachian State Teachers College, Co-Educational, Founded 1903, Class of 1958." The sign measured 7 x 11 feet and cost $225.
