This image shows the Appalachian Fall Festival held at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in September 1973. Students stand on the parking lot west of Chapell Wilson Hall, built 1938 (not shown), while cheerleaders perform a cheer in the foreground. In the background the lights of Conrad Stadium, built 1962, and the western end of Newland Hall, built 1939, can be seen.
