This image shows the construction of a new science building from the south in 1962 at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967). The building, completed in 1963, was named Rankin Science Hall in 1970, after the completion of an addition on the west side. The second Administration Building, built 1924, can be seen in the background.
