This image shows an English class meeting at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967). A group of students sit at desks taking notes while being lectured by English professor Cratis Williams, seated behind a desk on the left. Dr. Williams was later to become the Dean of the Graduate School. This image appears in the 1957 Rhododendron (p. 17).
